Compliance risks every charitable trust faces — and how Sanstha ERP eliminates them

IT Department notice for missing Form 10BD or incorrect 80G receipts

Sanstha ERP generates Form 10BD automatically and ensures every receipt meets the 80G format requirements. Compliance errors that trigger IT notices are eliminated at source.

Trustee disputes over who contributed what and when

Each trustee has a timestamped contribution register. Any trustee can view their own history. Board meetings have documented records — disputes end.

80G registration cancelled due to non-compliance or incorrect filings

Sanstha ERP keeps all donor records, receipt numbers and filing data organised and retrievable. Your CA has clean data to respond to any Department query within the response window.

Built for the compliance requirements of registered Indian trusts

Every feature is designed around the specific obligations that come with Section 12AB registration — not generic accounting software retrofitted for trusts.

Trustee-wise contribution register

Maintain a separate contribution history for every trustee named in the trust deed. Instantly generate trustee-wise summaries for board meetings, AGMs and court submissions if required.

Form 10BD & 10BE (mandatory filing)

Form 10BD is mandatory for all registered trusts from FY 2021–22. Sanstha ERP compiles the complete donor list with all required fields and generates 10BE certificates for each donor automatically.

Corpus & income fund separation

Aligned with Indian trust law and income tax compliance

Sanstha ERP is built by FastLegal Technologies — a legal-tech company. The platform is updated for current Income Tax Act requirements including post-Finance Act 2020 changes to trust registration.

Indian Trusts Act, 1882

Charitable trusts in India are governed by the Indian Trusts Act, 1882 or state-specific equivalents. Sanstha ERP's trustee management and financial records align with the accountability requirements of the Act.

Section 12AB Re-registration

All trusts and institutions claiming exemption under Section 11 must register under Section 12AB. Registrations under old Section 12A/12AA automatically lapsed if not renewed by September 2022. Sanstha ERP stores your 12AB registration details and uses them on every receipt and report.

80G Certification & Form 10BD

80G approval under Section 80G(5)(vi) is mandatory to offer donors a tax deduction. Form 10BD must be filed by 31st May every year listing all donations received. Sanstha ERP automates both receipt generation and Form 10BD compilation.

Section 11 Income Application

A trust must apply at least 85% of its income to its objects in the same year. Sanstha ERP tracks your income-vs-application ratio and generates the statements your auditor needs to confirm Section 11 compliance.

Why registered trusts choose Sanstha ERP

CA gets clean data — no corrections

Your treasurer manages day-to-day receipts and expenses. When audit season arrives, your CA receives organised, categorised statements with no missing entries or formatting errors to fix.

Form 10BD compliance without manual work

Form 10BD requires donor name, PAN, address, amount and mode for every donation above ₹2,000. Sanstha ERP captures all these fields at receipt time and compiles the full filing list at year-end.

Trustee access from anywhere

Each trustee gets their own login — accessible on phone or browser. They can view reports, check their contribution history and approve expense vouchers without visiting the office.
